My Conspiracy...with Rhetoric
By: Philippe Laroque
When I was in the 10th grade i went through what i personally called a mental revolution which was just a drastic change in my point of view due to new information i was acquiring. At the beginning of this mental revolution i became an avid "Conspiracy Theorist" and i usually spent my time convincing people that the American goverment was trying to spark the "New World Order" and planning a large extermination in the worlds population. What i use to do was research, what i see now as being, falsified facts and stories in order to back up my claims one being that the Air Force was weakening the American peoples immune systems via chemtrails. Now chemtrails are clouds emitted from a back of a jet that contains aerosols that, when inhaled, can weaken your overall immune system and i always told people to look in the sky and notice the "irregular" looking clouds in the sky and say that they were chemtrails. In the end i would be successful in convincing people that this was the truth and even ended up acquiring a small group that would actual come and listen to what i had to say. Now that i am older, wiser, and know more about rhetoric i realize how baseless these claims and how much evidence is lacking as far as being able to prove whether or not these conspiracies are true or not.
I know that some of the guys from my high school are really big on conspiracy stuff like the Illuminati and I'm glad to see that words are powerful and can get a group of people to follow you
ReplyDeleteGreat story Philippe! This really demonstrates the power of words, and the necessity for people to be discerning and wise about things they hear and see.
