Rhetorical Analysis On Images and Music

Rhetorical analysis is rhetorical analysis so it's basically the same thing. You break down thoroughly all the elements of whatever you are watching or listening to. All types of media use rhetoric but understand the rhetoric of a song or a piece of art you have to ask yourself different questions from those questions of written or spoken rhetoric. The rhetoric of songs and videos are harder to analyze because their message could be more hidden away and maybe subliminal. Also the rhetoric could be hidden away not in the speech of video or lyrics of the song but the volume, pitch, speed, etc, also contribute to the rhetoric. As for the rhetoric of a video, it might be hidden aways in the speed of the movement of the video, the signs that are show in the background, the place where it is taking place at and even the colors of the background. In the end rhetorical analysis of songs, and other media, different from speech and writing, might be a little harder, and that is because the message being sent to observer or listener might be more hidden away and harder to analyze so we would have to break it down into more elements than we would do to a piece of writing or a speech.
