The process of rhetorical analysis when the thing being analyzed is media changes a little but it is still very similiar to that of analyzing a text.
The process is different because there are more things to be taken into account when analyzing videos and music. The instruments, the rythms, the colors and techniques used and many other things are things that make a difference in the process of rhetorical analysis.
Analyzing media may be easier because by viewing images and hearing sounds that are appealing one may relate more to the thing that is being analyzed. But, it is also harder sometimes because, in the case of an image, words are not used to transmit the message only images. For this reason I find the process of analysing a text to be easier than that of analyzing media, the message is often clearer.
The process of rhetorical analysis for different things may be similar but it is not always the same.
It's interesting that you find analyzing a written text easier...the consensus seems to be that analyzing visual texts is easier. Also, keep in mind that even a video or a picture is a "text."
